Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis has received a new teaser, pointing to a new reveal next month.
After its initial reveal at The Game Awards last year, fans of the Tomb Raider franchise have been anxiously awaiting news regarding Lara Croft’s return.
Following rumours that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis may be delayed into 2027, a new teaser has revealed that an update on the game could be coming as early as next month.
In a video for Summer Game Fest 2026, the seventh annual live event dedicated to new game reveals, trailers, and other news, several games set to appear are shown briefly.

Among the games teased are Star Wars: Galactic Racer, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and Control: Resonant, which should all get new trailers or gameplay reveals during the event.
Another game given a bit of screen time during the trailer is Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, the first new Tomb Raider game in nearly eight years.
Now, before you get too excited, we don’t actually see any new footage during the trailer. We get a glimpse of Lara leaping over a trap, and then a shot of her reacting to a large dinosaur. This was all footage that we saw in the trailer from The Game Awards.

Given that the game is supposedly coming out this year, I’d imagine that we’ll definitely be seeing some gameplay during Summer Game Fest.
This could be in the form of a short trailer featuring more gameplay than what we saw in the first trailer at The Game Awards.
It could also be an extended gameplay demo, featuring raw footage showing how the game will play in motion rather than a heavily edited splicing of cinematics and gameplay. If Legacy of Atlantis is close to launch, it sounds like this might be your best bet to see how it plays before release.
On the other hand, one thing that’s almost certain to be revealed is a release date. So far, all we know is that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is supposed to come out in 2026, so a more concrete release date might be on the table.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a remake of the original Tomb Raider from 1996, and features Alix Wilton Regan as Lara Croft, taking over the role from Camilla Luddington who played the character between 2013 and 2018.
Legacy of Atlantis will be followed up with Tomb Raider: Catalyst in 2027, which is set after the events of Tomb Raider: Underworld and is the furthest along in the timeline we’ve seen so far.
