Jon Hamm Interested In Playing X-Men's Mister Sinister In The MCU

Jon Hamm Interested In Playing X-Men's Mister Sinister In The MCU

Jon Hamm has responded to rumours suggesting that he's set to play Mister Sinister in the MCU.

There’s plenty to be excited about when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is just a few months away, and She-Hulk: Attorney At Law continues to impress over on Disney Plus. Unsurprisingly, plenty of people want in on the action. Ryan Gosling previously expressed his interest in playing Ghost Rider and even Kim Kardashian fancies appearing in the MCU. Now, Jon Hamm has thrown his hat in the ring as well.

Speaking of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, check out the epic trailer below.

For some time now, Jon Hamm’s name has been closely associated with X-Men villain Mister Sinister. The theory first came about shortly after the release of X-Men: Apocalypse with many guessing that perhaps Hamm would make his Marvel debut in The New Mutants or Deadpool 2. Clearly, that didn’t happen.

Following the Disney and Fox merger, we now know that an X-Men film is on its way to the MCU and Hamm recently sat down with ComicBookMovie to discuss those juicy casting rumours. Hamm isn’t against the idea, but noted that “didn’t really know” much about it. He said, “Yeah, I don't know. Sometimes I find out more about my career from the internet than I actually find out from my agents. So, I didn't really know that was in the works until somebody told me that I didn't get it or it didn't happen."

He continued, “I really don't know. Like anybody else, I would be thrilled to be part of that storytelling having been a big comic book fan throughout my early teens and early twenties, so we'll see. I don't know. It would be a fun person to play, that's for sure. I look good in purple, I'll put it that way." That sure does sound promising.
