Hogwarts Legacy: Reign Of Black is a hit with fans

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most popular video games to be released this year, and that’s quite an impressive feat when you consider that 2023 has been an awesome time for gamers.

Hogwarts Legacy is set years prior to the events of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts during the 1890s. While the action RPG from Avalanche Software is not official canon, it still provides fans of the Wizarding World an opportunity to live their best Hogwarts fantasy life.

Whether it's being immersed in the main story missions, partaking in its side activities or just wandering the halls of the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hogwarts Legacy is a game that keeps on giving. While there seem to be no signs of official story DLC on the horizon, the modding community has us covered whether it's visual improvements, a gameplay overhaul or the inclusion of multiplayer.

However, one Hogwarts Legacy fan has been taking things a step further by using in-game conversations and interactions with NPCs to create a spin-off mini-series such as Gossip Gaunt from TikToker Heizerux.

We reported on a previous episode of Gossip Gaunt which focused on the NPC named Sebastian Sallow. The series is extremely well put together and cleverly uses AI to generate dialogue that most certainly does not sound out of place.

Now Gossip Gaunt is back, and Heizerux has shared the latest episode ‘Reign of Black’ and it's proving to be a hit, enthralling fans once more. “There has been a looming darkness over Hogwarts... And it's in the form of the Headmaster. Here is what Gossip Gaunt has to say,” posted the TikToker on Reddit.

“Gossip Gaunt is my absolute favourite creation to come from this fandom. It’s priceless every time,” exclaimed CorianStoneHPHM. “I highly enjoyed this!” said Captain. “These are pretty good!” added ryucavelier.

In related news, fans would love to see romance options in Hogwarts Legacy 2 and many would also rejoice if we were to get Azkaban-inspired DLC in the current game.

Hogwarts Legacy is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Following a series of delays, it is also currently scheduled to be released on Nintendo Switch on 14 November 2023.
