One Hogwarts Legacy player has been warned against stepping through a mysterious door, but I’d argue the opposite.
This has certainly brought some chilling memories to the forefront of my mind.
Reddit user lazyyasss recently took to the site to ask a very simple question.
“Anyone know what this door/building is?” they wrote. “When I cast Revelio, this door glows. Anyone know how to get in here? I’m on my second playthrough and even the first time around, I don’t remember figuring it out.”

As I said, a very simple question - and yet it’s one that prompted some concerning responses.
“A quest you should not start at 1am after being woken up from a traumatic nightmare,” replied ShatoraDragon.
“Made the mistake of doing this quest at midnight,” added redfoxhound503.
“Literally the way it played out for me, traumatised,” echoed QuiGon-GinTonic, while MaterialExcellent631 said, “No one tell them. It's a rite of passage.” Evil.

The truth is that this door marks the beginning of ‘Minding Your Own Business’, also known as the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop DLC quest.
It was originally a PlayStation timed exclusive but later was released for free to all platforms.
Hogwarts Legacy players are essentially given the option of buying a shop, not knowing that a mischievous poltergeist, Fastidio, haunts the basement.
The shopkeeper, Cassandra Mason, is fully aware of this, conning people into making the purchase knowing full well they’ll likely give the key straight back to her.

Of course, our main character would never give up so easily and so, the quest tasks us with taking down Fastidio once and for all.
The quest plays out somewhat like a dungeon as we steadily make our way through the maze that Fastidio has created ahead of a final showdown.
It’s very trippy, with Fastidio altering the movement of objects as well as what’s up, what’s down, what’s real, and what’s fake.
The quest becomes a mind-bending maze.

What gets most players, though, is the quest’s mannequin enemies who, much like Doctor Who’s Weeping Angels, come to life when you’re not looking, making for a few chilling segments.
I’m awful at horror games and while this particular quest did make me go ‘argh’ a few times, I wouldn’t let the general response put you off.
It’s chilling, but it’s doable. It’s a bit like, say, Little Nightmares.
This quest will naturally unlock as you progress through the game and I heartily recommend you take it on if you haven’t already - especially as we near Halloween.
