A sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is in development, but it’s yet to receive anything in the way of an official reveal.

Various Warner Bros. executives have made reference to the project, with a recent tease suggesting that 2027 might be a major year for the franchise.

Could that be the sequel’s release date? Or perhaps just when its reveal is finally due?

Either way, we’re inching towards officially being back.

In the meantime, there’s a mod collection that you might want to download that’ll hugely overhaul the Hogwarts Legacy experience on PC.

As reported by ScreenRant, The Goblet is a mod collection that’s available to download from NexusMods that applies a ton of changes to the vanilla game experience.

Think quality-of-life upgrades, new items and outfits, a companion system, and more.

The creator 2077v2 describes the collection as “a must-have to immerse yourself into Hogwarts Legacy”.

In total, the collection features over 120 mods yet, rather magically, will only consume 4GB of your storage.

The Companion System Is Something That Needs To Be In The Game’s Sequel

Those who download will benefit from over 10 clothing mods, 20-plus body mods, five-plus broom mods, 50-plus custom wands, 25-plus companions and followers, various graphics and textures mods, gameplay tweaks, bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, input mods, improved UI, in-game mod menus, and an in-game appearance menu.

I’d argue the addition of a companion system is among one of the better offerings here. It’s something that felt so sorely missing in the base game experience.

You can now select from a wide array of characters to accompany you on your adventures in the game’s open world.

There are some cool new mounts, the addition of the ability to apparate to any location (lore-friendly exclusions aside), improved broom control, plus you can now duel with any classmate at any time.

I’ve also spotted a removal of Hogsmeade’s flying restrictions, the addition of auto-walking to a destination, increased flying height, as well as a new option to control the seasons and weather.

As you can likely see, these changes all subtly boost the Hogwarts Legacy experience rather than change it into something it's not.

That’s sort of what I’m hoping to see in the game’s official sequel.

Yes, we need a strong new story and some new locations to explore but elsewhere, Hogwarts Legacy 2 needs to be a refinement of the formula.

Add in those additional school activities. Cut down on repetitive open world content.

Hogwarts Legacy built a strong foundation that a sequel can further develop. In the meantime though, this mod collection may help fill the wait.
