Hogwarts Legacy players are expecting a huge update next month, though their faith in Warner Bros and Avalanche Software might be misplaced.
Harry Potter is still going strong despite J.K Rowling’s continued existence with a new TV series on the way through HBO.
While the new series will retell the story of Harry, Ron and Hermione from the books/films, Hogwarts Legacy is a strong prequel that gives us more of an insight into the history of Hogwarts and the world of witchcraft and wizardry.
Despite the game’s high sales and steady supply of concurrent players, no substantial DLC packs have been made for the game, with only the occasional free update to speak about.

While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, fans are anticipating one such update to come later next month to celebrate a special day for Harry Potter fans.
You see, on 1 September, it’s officially Back To Hogwarts Day, a day that commemorates when Harry and his friends would board the Hogwarts Express back to school, much like how kids return to school in real life after the summer holidays.
Since those living in the fictitious wizarding world will be returning to Hogwarts, fans are probably putting on their tin foil hats in the hopes that a surprise update will be released to bring them back to Hogwarts Legacy.
This could be anything from new cosmetics to a new mission, but nothing as substantial as a proper DLC expansion.

While it’d be nice to see, the chances are exceedingly slim. Yes, Hogwarts Legacy is a big game and performed well for Warner Bros, but it’s unlikely the game is still being supported as most work will probably be applied to its sequel.
That said I’d love to be proven wrong, so if you’re a Harry Potter fan cross your fingers when 1 September comes as you tune into the official Back to Hogwarts Day stream.
