It’s fair to say that when Hogwarts Legacy arrived in 2023 it became a dream game for fans of the Wizarding World and to this day, wannabe witches and wizards still cannot get enough of its fantastical world.

Set in the late 1800s, long before Harry Potter, you play as a student entering the fifth academic year at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to the surprise of students and tutors alike. What’s more, the faithfully recreated Hogwarts Castle is one of the most stunning locations in recent video games not to mention its wonderful surrounding areas such as the bubbly Hogsmeade Village.

Yet, no matter what area of the game you are exploring, there are plenty of secrets waiting to be discovered in Hogwarts Legacy whether it's the halls of the castle or the spooky Forbidden Forest. What’s more, some secrets are easier to discover than others such as the topic asked by Reddit user yescasually.

“Folks doing multiple playthroughs, what’s something you realised embarrassingly late?” they asked. “I’m on my third run and only realised the other day that you can put your hood up if you’re wearing a cloak.”

“Despite having a whole mission where you are outright told you need to use the Disillusionment Charm to bypass a giant eyeball (The Mind's Eye), it never occurred to me on my first play that it was the trick to those eyeball chests,” explained EvelynGarnet.

“That you don’t have to actually wear gear to get the perks. I spent the first playthrough running around the highlands with an asylum mask, top hat, and cape,” replied Jus10sBae.

“I embarrassingly didn't know you had to claim the achievements you earned, I finished the game with no extra gear shots nor extra ancient magic slots,” Kind-Rutabaga1760 exclaimed. “I hated the Merlin Trials because I thought they didn’t do anything.”

“If you're using Revelio to find a nearby place but can't find it, just hop onto your broom because Revelio goes miles. I can't believe it took me so long,” revealed Infernalspoon.
