Just when you thought we’d seen everything that Hogwarts Legacy has to offer, one player has just discovered a really weird event hidden in the game’s open world, and I’m honestly not sure what to make of it.

There’s no doubt that Harry Potter fans have been very thorough with their Hogwarts Legacy playthroughs. From hunting down Easter eggs and references to calculating the trajectory of Dumbledore’s fall from the Astrology Tower (don't ask), ever since launch, fans have made sure that no stone has been left unturned. Or so we thought.

Take a look at this hilarious Hogwarts Legacy mod starring PS1 Hagrid below.

Over on Reddit, user pastadudde wrote: “Found a random student in Hogsmeade Valley, in the dead of night.” They shared a screenshot which shows the student sat on the floor in the dark, making some notes next to a stack of books, using a dim lantern as their only light source. That’s not at all terrifying. Nope, not one bit.

“Those exams are REALLY stressing them out... they're just studying anywhere now,” FuzzyAwareness5659 commented. “They really need to start taking attendance, half these kids are just outside of class most of the time,” added teh_stev3.

Okay but seriously, what are they doing out there? What on Earth could warrant being out so late in the middle of Hogsmeade Valley if they’re not secretly training to be an evil wizard? Well, even though it doesn’t help explain it, other Reddit users pointed out that they’re not the only student who looks out of place there: “Well, you're a random student out in Hogsmeade Valley in the dead of night, too,” JARlaah wrote. “He's making the same post about you as we speak,” _friedliver commented.

Fair point. Even so, it's rather weird, and it makes you wonder how many other students have been out lurking somewhere when they shouldn't be.
