Those who are purchasing Hogwarts Legacy for PlayStation are actually getting an extra exclusive quest that PC, Switch and Xbox players won't be able to experience at release. Cheeky bludgers.

For a lot of fans, this is the Harry Potter game that they've been waiting for, with the glittering visuals and the ability to live out their fantasy of walking the halls of the iconic institution. Yet, a lot of fans aren't so hot on the thought that their purchase may support the author's views that they do not agree with, even if it is indirect.

As the game approaches its release, questions are coming to the fore once more. "We're going to stay very focused on the game that we built and the great job that Avalanche Studios has done," said David Haddad, head of Warner Bros Games, in an interview. "We want everybody that loves this world and loves these stories and loves these characters."

Well, you might be on the fence about purchasing Hogwarts Legacy for a multitude of reasons. One could be the goodies that you get from pre-ordering the game, and now, we've found out that PlayStation players will benefit from an extra exclusive quest.

On PlayStation Network, the versions of Hogwarts Legacy list their content and all three versions - the Deluxe edition, the standard PlayStation 4 edition and the standard PlayStation 5 edition - show an exclusive quest. Then, community manager Chandler Wood stepped in to clarify that that extra exclusive quest is unlocked irrespective of whether the player has pre-ordered the game or not. It's not known if the content will come to the remainder of the platforms after its release, nor what the quest is or how long it is, but it's not that surprising to see a PlayStation exclusive present when we recall how heavily the game has featured in Sony events.

Hogwarts Legacy will release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X on 10 February, 2023.
