Combining the inspirations of two brilliant games often results in another awesome title to play, and this one on Steam looks like it’ll be worth trying out.
There’s a free demo available for Magic Inn over on Steam, and it’s not only super cute, but also bursting with magic that will surely win over any witches and wizards among you.
Surely you can’t miss the obvious inspirations here, which are channelling a very popular boy wizard, and a massive Nintendo franchise.
There’s no denying there’s a big dollop of Hogwarts Legacy here, giving fans of the wizarding world something new to dive into.

It’s not just the Harry Potter fans that will get something out of Magic Inn, as it’s leaning into the cosy genre pretty hard.
Players will take on the role of an exiled wizard turned innkeeper, and so your duties will include taking care of guests as well as the inn.
We’re getting major Animal Crossing vibes from this one, as you can design the interior of your inn and get to know guests and their personalities.
While the full game hasn’t entered its early access period quite yet - it’s due in quarter three of 2025 - you can play through a demo of it right now on Steam.
This will give you a taste of what to expect, which is currently looking like card games with guests, making friends with ghosts, serving customers food and drink, and there will be plenty of spells flying about, too.
These spells will help with the management of your inn, and you’ll be rewarded a star rating by judges who will give their verdict on decor, guest services, and general vibes.
