Whether it’s a scripted event or a glitch in the system, fans have been sharing their magical moments in Hogwarts Legacy since it launched in February last year.

Developed by Avalanche Software, when Hogwarts Legacy was initially released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in February 2023, it became the digitised Harry Potter game that fans have been dying for, finally allowing them to be immersed in the Wizarding World never before.

“Experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. Make allies, battle Dark wizards, and ultimately decide the fate of the wizarding world. Your legacy is what you make of it. Live the Unwritten,” reads the description of Hogwarts Legacy.

Fans have been calling for various features to be included in Hogwarts Legacy 2 such as multiplayer, new game plus and a first-person mode without mods. Can you imagine exploring the gorgeous halls of Hogwarts Castle in a first-person perspective?

Thankfully, it seems that calls for the new game plus may be arriving sooner than the sequel following the free summer update after the developers teased the addition to finally come to Hogwarts Legacy. But what about the first-person mode, I hear you ask?

Well, there is no word of a first-person mode arriving to Hogwarts Legacy or its sequel, as lovely as that would be. However, a Reddit user has stumbled across a glitch that could give us a taste of what could be.

“Guys, my camera glitched out and I had a GoPro perspective broom flying which should be a feature!” said Constant-Sign-5569, sharing a clip with fellow members on the thread. To be fair, this glitch is a bit horrid as it gives me an image of the playable character with a crooked elongated neck like that horrible teacher from Little Nightmares II (if you know, you know).

“That is awesome! It’s like your character has a Go-Pro (are those still a thing?) on the bottom of the broom,” replied mjhruska. “We need a first-person mode in the director's cut,” called FrustratedSkyrimGuy.

I’m sure the chances are that Avalanche Software would have thought of a first-person mode during the development of Hogwarts Legacy, so hopefully, we’ll get to see an official implementation one day. Hogwarts Legacy is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
