Harry Potter fans agree Hogwarts Legacy contains the franchises' absolute worst character

Harry Potter fans agree Hogwarts Legacy contains the franchises' absolute worst character

I've never seen the community all together like this.

Hogwarts Legacy has introduced a new love-to-hate character to the series, which has already arguably got a roster of wretches to select from, and they have riled the players up to no end.

Though Hogwarts Legacy has held the gaming space in a iron grip with its faithful recreation of the magical school, entrancing open world and diverging plotlines deciding the fate of the wizarding world, it isn't without criticisms. Dissenters called out the possible portrayals of Jewish people and customs in the goblin uprising at the heart of the game, and a massive amount of money has been raised for charities that support transgender individuals through donations that equate to Hogwarts Legacy's launch prices.

The RPG's shine is starting to wear off too with descriptions of repetitive loops and annoying quests that take far too long. Fortunately, none of the core characters have exasperated players too much, and the "worst" character in Hogwarts Legacy is in fact an immobile painting.

The return of the king - PS1 Hagrid is in Hogwarts Legacy. Check it out below:

The object of the community's ire is of course the Floo Flame lady. Every time the player comes close to the portrait, she sounds off with what must be a maximum of five or six lines: "You can't imagine how inconvenient travel was before I invented floo powder," "I've always said, travel broadens the mind," "Off to another adventure, are you?"

These sorts of things are tough to write for - it's the challenge of finding several different ways to say the same thing to prick a player's ears and pay attention to their surroundings. It is infuriating though and a mod has even been made to stop the Floo Flame lady from talking to PC players, filed under "Quality of Life."

Irrespective of the hassle this character causes, it is doing some good for the game. "Honestly, her voice lines have slowly convinced me to just fly everywhere instead of fast traveling. So you know, silver lining," said a player. Hogwarts Castle in Hogwarts Legacy is considered to be the players' favourite fictional location and lots of praise has been piled on the recreation. So I suppose the Floo Flame lady's incessant talking has had a positive effect.
