Harry Potter fans are overlooking free games to play when you’re not on Hogwarts Legacy, and while you wait for the new series of course.
While I wouldn’t call myself a fan of Harry Potter I do quite like Hogwarts Legacy, and I’m excited to play the sequel when it eventually comes out.
As for the rebooted TV series the cast does look rather good, but I’d be kidding myself if I said I planned on watching it.
However I’m no fool, I know how immensely popular the franchise is, despite all the controversy around J.K Rowling. For those who are bored of Hogwarts Legacy and want something to do before the new TV series releases here’s what you need to do; Read the books again.

I’m joking, what kind of nerd reads nowadays? Play Harry Potter: Magic Awakened instead.
Magic Awakened is a mobile game so don’t go in expecting a grand open-world like Hogwarts Legacy provides. Nevertheless it looks pretty good if you thought Hogwarts Legacy was lacking actual Hogwarts activities.
In the game you’ll partake in a variety of minigames that follow every-day life at the school of witchcraft and wizardry. There’s quidditch, potion making, duels, all the good stuff and there’s even a storyline to follow as well. You’ll need a strong deck of cards to overcome these challenges so expect a few in-app purchases here and there.

You’ll encounter familiar faces from the books and films like Harry Potter himself and do battle with some iconic villains, like Bellatrix Lestrange.
Again I’m not much of a Harry Potter fan so it’s not my cup of tea, but I can see the value it might have for those that are incredibly passionate about the series.
It’s also free-to-play and since it’s a mobile game it obviously won’t take up too much room on your device.
It might be a good one to log into every now and then when you’ve got nothing better to do.
You’ve got plenty of time to kill as well as the HBO reboot series isn’t expected to drop until sometime next year.
Filming is currently underway for the first season and like I alluded to earlier the cast looks pretty stacked.
As for Hogwarts Legacy 2 you’ll probably be waiting even longer as while Avalanche Software has confirmed it’s working on a sequel we’re yet to hear anything more about it.
