Harry Potter is seemingly not showing any signs of slowing down amongst fans, with the character popping up in all sorts of places, including what has probably been the biggest game of the last decade or so, in Fortnite.

Fortnite has become well known for its many, many collaborations with established properties and fandoms, with everything from Star Wars, to Marvel and Batman showing up in the game at some point, as well as a bunch of celebrities that I've usually never heard of.

The rumoured appearance of the Boy Who Lived has now been confirmed, with several skins from the movies and books set to appear in the game as part of Winterfest, Fortnite's big end of year celebration.

Unfortunately, it seems that the final design they've settle on for the most important character of the lot just really isn't hitting the right notes for players based on what they have seen so far.

Fortnite Fans Don't Rate Harry Potter's Design At All

Over on Twitter/X, a post sharing screenshots of the design on the HYPEX page was posted with every intention of excitedly drawing attention to the new character skins.

Unfortunately, fans were less than impressed, so they took the opportunity to roast the poor lad to the point where it started to feel a little like bullying, though I will say that Epic Games didn't exactly knock this one out of the park.

"Fortnite had one job, add a guy with glasses and a thunderbolt scar, and we get a guy with NO GLASSES, OR THUNDER BOLT SCAR," one enraged comment read.

"They couldn’t get Daniel Radcliffe so they put Jonesy in a wizard costume," another added.

"Dude. Where is the real Harry Potter? We need this dude," a third said, sharing an image of the original actor who took on the role, Daniel Radcliffe.

Fortnite fans did also get some cool news outside of that, namely that they'll be able to get their hands on Chocolate Frog back bling. To do so, all they have to do is head over to the Epic Game Store and download Hogwarts Legacy, which is currently free as part of The Game Awards.

Play it for two hours with your account linked, and the Chocolate Frog back bling will be added to your personal collection. That offer expires on 18 December, however, so make sure to jump on and meet the requirements before then.
