Grand Theft Auto VI remains on track to launch this year.
On 19 November, millions of players across the world will be able to jump into all of the delights that Vice City has to offer.
It’s expected that Rockstar Games will ramp up GTA VI’s marketing in the coming months, with many speculating that pre-orders will open in May to coincide with Take-Two Interactive’s next earnings call.
As you’re likely aware, it’s only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S gamers that’ll be able to dive into GTA VI on 19 November.
While a PC port is in development, Rockstar is yet to indicate when it may arrive, nor has the acclaimed studio said much about GTA VI’s inevitable online mode.

It’s assumed that GTA VI will spawn somewhat of a successor to GTA Online - and now a leak appears to have added a touch more insight.
Insider TheGhostofHope claims that GTA VI’s online mode will launch within a month of the single-player release date on 19 November.
To state the obvious, that would mean a successor to GTA Online launching on or before 19 December.
Taking to Twitter/X, TheGhostofHope wrote, “Up to you guys if you wanna believe me on this or not but hearing from someone that the current plan for GTA VI is to launch online within a month after the release of the game.”
On one hand, this wouldn’t be a total surprise.
GTA V launched in September 2013 with GTA Online landing in October 2013, just one month later.
That didn’t necessarily confirm that GTA VI would follow the same pattern though, particularly as GTA Online’s popularity hasn’t really wavered over the years.

Of course, this leak should be taken with a hefty pinch of salt if true. TheGhostofHope has been bang on the money in the past, but the leaker is usually concerned with the Call of Duty franchise.
If this leak does prove to be true, it’s most definitely another knife in the heart of PC gamers who will have two new GTA experiences they can’t immediately experience.
Rockstar Games isn’t very quick when it comes to the launch of PC ports with some taking a year or two to arrive.
Let’s hope GTA VI’s is only a matter of months behind the console launch.
As for what new bells and whistles a GTA Online successor might have, well, it’s perhaps safe to suggest that we should expect a new map, improved graphics, plus new mechanics that match those found within GTA VI.
I hope you’re not tired of hearing about this game yet because come November and December, it’s all the globe will be yapping about.
