Thanks to some leaks that dropped prior to Grand Theft Auto VI’s second trailer, fans are pretty certain that Rockstar Games haven’t revealed the eternity of the game’s map yet… and based on their track record with their prior titles, the fans are probably right.
We've known that GTA VI will have an absolutely massive map for a while now. After the first trailer for the game dropped, we could at the very least confirm that the map would cover the majority of Florida and even Vice City.
Then the second trailer dropped, and we got a good look at some expansive shots of the fictional Leonida’s landscape, including its massive mountain ranges.

However, one user over on the r/GTA6 subreddit thinks that Rockstar Games hasn’t revealed everything quite yet, based on prior leaks.
As user mahirbr states in their post, the leaked info from the development build of GTA VI included a whole bunch of areas that the trailers have yet to feature. This, paired with the rumoured “Project Americas” working title for the game, has convinced fans in the thread that the map is much, much bigger than we assumed.
“I totally agree, the code name was and has been Project Americas, and even though they decided to cut back the scope, it still has to have certain implications on the game’s design”, commented user Infinite-Wedding9311.
“I would be very surprised if we didn’t see different locations. My personal guess, given the importance of airplanes in the trailer and the fact that Jason is trafficking drugs, is that there will be islands based on Latin America.”

“I’m pretty sure we’ll get Orlando”, replied user hanspatatt.
“There’s no way they don’t include it if it’s really about Leonida as a state and not just Vice City. This would also be in line with the Fairyland world event which could represent Disneyworld.”
Plus, as mahirbr states in their post, it wouldn’t be the first time that Rockstar Games has hidden large portions of the map in their marketing materials from players.
Red Dead Redemption 2 featured several huge locations that went completely unmentioned in any of the trailers leading up to the game, such as Mexico and Guarma.

Either way, I’d still suggest that we maybe don’t get too ahead of ourselves here.
I’m certain Rockstar Games is leaving a lot of GTA VI’s locations as a surprise, but don’t go hyping yourselves up to revisit Liberty City or anything.
Better to have low expectations and be surprised than convince yourself of something unfounded and wind up disappointed instead.
