GTA rival, Mindseye, coming from former Rockstar North developers, has revealed a shocking price point of $60, while the world expects GTA VI to still retail for $100.
Set to launch on 10 June 2025, Mindseye comes from Build a Rocket Boy, a new developer established by veteran Leslie Benzies, and it’s easy to see the GTA VI comparisons.
While everyone is arguing over the value of video games and the prices they sell for, it seems Mindseye will throw out all arguments and go with a low price point to entice potential players.

It’s not a bad idea, seeing as so many players will want to fill the void left by the delay of GTA VI.
The game’s official description reads, “Set in the near-futuristic city of Redrock, MindsEye delivers a tightly crafted linear story campaign.”
It continues, “Players will step into the shoes of Jacob Diaz, a former soldier haunted by fragmented memories from his mysterious MindsEye neural implant.”
Perhaps a fitting story for the modern world we live in, and the developers have commented on their price tag attracting eyes and thumbs.

They see it as “a refreshing departure from the standard $70~$80 AAA price tag”.
Built in Unreal Engine 5, some of the visuals certainly look enticing, but it’s up to the players whether the game succeeds, as it will rival the most anticipated game of all time and forever be compared to GTA.
It’s not a surprise to see comments about the current state of AAA game pricing, given that Nintendo has opted for high price points on their software, and so many other companies seem to be following suit.
From details shared by the Mindseye developers, they have plenty planned for the future of the game and will continue supporting it for many years to come.
