It’s been exactly 417 days since Rockstar Games announced that the next Grand Theft Auto game is in active development, and you know how many times we’ve gotten official news about it in that time? Precisely zero.
Yup, GTA VI is an enigma. I don’t think anyone was expecting it to release instantly after it was announced, but at this point, everyone’s starting to wonder what’s going on with it. Time and time again, leakers have hinted that a trailer could be revealed soon, and that’s still yet to happen. Currently, insiders believe that the game could be releasing in 2025, although there’s debate about when in the year it’ll be.
Take a look at what GTA VI might look like when it releases with this Vice City mod for GTA V.
Unless you’re very new to the hype train, chances are you’re aware of the massive leak that appeared online last September. Normally, all leaked information should be taken with a pinch of salt, but this was very real - Rockstar Games confirmed that the early gameplay footage had been illegally accessed in a network intrusion.

Since then, fans have been analysing every last frame of footage and line of data they can find in order to figure out as much as possible about the game, and as Sportskeeda reports, there’s apparently going to be an enormous amount of things to see and do in the game's world. Twitter user @_Dyllie_ posted a list of world events and activities which they claim were discovered in the previous leak - there’s allegedly over 500 in total, including basketball, fishing, crazy golf, a workout challenge and yard sales. Also listed were “UFO animal house” and “Bonnie and Clyde mystery”, but no further details about these were given.
Assuming that these are real additions and make it into the final version of the game, it sounds like there’s going to be loads for fans to get stuck into. Hopefully, whenever it does release, it’ll have enough content to last us another decade until GTA VII graces our screens. Now isn't that a thought?
