Even after all these months since the release of the debut GTA VI trailer, fans are still discovering new details such as the one featured in today’s story.
After years of rumours and leaks, Rockstar Games finally treated us to the first official trailer for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI in December 2023. Within hours, the GTA VI trailer was smashing records on YouTube as it now nears an incredible 200 million views.

There was so much to see in the debut GTA VI trailer from locations such as the returning Vice City beach to real-life personalities like the parody of the “Florida Joker”, who I assume is still trying to sue Rockstar Games parent company, Take-Two Interactive to no success whatsoever. In the trailer, we were also introduced to the two main characters, Jason and Lucia.

One of the characters seen in the trailer is a glamorous woman wearing a bikini who looks to be mingling with a socialite crowd on a luxurious apartment rooftop. While not officially confirmed by Rockstar Games, it’s believed by some that this woman could be Lucia later in the story of GTA VI.
The woman wearing the bikini is also wearing a necklace, a cosmetic item featured in the GTA Online ‘Bottom Dollar Bounties’ update. Fans on Reddit have been sharing their surprise at the blink-and-you-’ll-miss-it reference to the GTA VI necklace in GTA Online.

“Wow, an actual good post,” replied Comfortable-Pen-7567 with Majestic_Strike6832 adding “This is a kinda cool thing to point out.” VahniB said, “This is the first time I noticed the necklace there.”
What’s more, Reddit user Cool_Business_3872 mentioned another detail that some may have initially missed in the GTA VI trailer. “There are some tattoos that are reused too. Such as the three smiley faces that become more warped/wavy from the ‘Fooligan’ update on the guy who’s hanging out of the door of the green truck in the GTA VI trailer,” they explained.
It will be interesting to see how many other hidden details gamers will spot in the next GTA VI trailer, whenever that may arrive. Grand Theft Auto VI does not have a release date yet but it is expected to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in late 2025.
