Looking for something to do this weekend but don't fancy going outside because it's a particularly cold and rubbish February? We've got you covered.
Ubisoft has announced a free weekend for its excellent open-world extreme sports game Riders Republic. Because why go outside when you can simply pretend to go outside? Yeah, video games are awesome.
From today (February 10) until February 14, you can download and play Riders Republic on all platforms for the low price of nothing. Ubisoft has also confirmed that your progress will carry over into the full game, should you wish to continue playing once the trial is over. Oh, and the game is currently 50% off, just to sweeten the deal.

"If you want to keep playing after the free weekend, you'll be able to keep your progression and purchase Riders Republic for up to 50% off," Ubisoft writes. "Riders Republic is out now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC (through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store), and is included with a Ubisoft+ subscription."
If you've yet to check out Riders Republic, this really is the perfect opportunity - and I can't recommend it enough. Ubisoft has crafted a gorgeous open-world playground filled with increasingly ridiculous activities and plenty to see and do. Even if you're not into extreme sports, you'll find plenty to love. So what are you waiting for? Get your skates on.
