With the game recently topping the poll as PlayStation’s best exclusive title, God of War Ragnarök is now available to download for free for those lucky eligible people.

Recently we saw the official PlayStation Twitter account take part in a quick little study to see which of its exclusive titles players considered the best. With much-loved entries such as The Last of Us Part 1, Marvel’s Spider-Man and Horizon Zero Dawn taking part, it was a tough competition but one game came out on top and I think you can guess what it is.

Check out the God of War Ragnarök story trailer below!

Released in November 2022, God of War Ragnarök was a direct sequel to Santa Monica Studio’s 2018 God of War entry. As remakes of the original series, the Norse mythology inspired action-adventure series went on to receive a whole new legion of fans who praised the games for dynamic combat, emotional storylines and the heartwarming bond between Kratos and his son, Atreus.

Now just over a year since Ragnarök was released, the game has found its way to the PlayStation Plus Premium service as part of its game trial programme. Alongside titles such as Baldur’s Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2, God of War Ragnarök is available to download and try out for free for up to three-hours.

This gives you access to the full-game albeit for a limited time but will allow you to get a taste of the game before you buy. With the title still accompanied by a £69.99 price tag, it is definitely worth seeing if you enjoy it before making the leap. However, with the game nominated for Game of the Year, it would be hard to not love it.

With it only being a matter of time before Ragnarök heads to PC much like its predecessor, a new wave of players may just convince the developers that we need a sequel. Please!
