‘God of War Ragnarok’ Actor Confirms He’s Wrapped On Production

There's still no confirmed release date for God of War Ragnarok but one actor has provided a major production update,

As much as we all would have liked one, a God of War Ragnarok update was never really going to happen in this week’s State of Play. After all, Sony had previously announced that the showcase would be focusing on third-party games and PSVR2 content, and God of War Ragnarok falls into neither one of those categories.

That being said, fans still came away sorely disappointed with the lack of news and I feel your pain. Our last glimpse at God of War Ragnarok came almost nine months ago. The game has a vague release window of 2022 but given that we’re halfway through the year AND there has been a complete lack of updates, fans have been fearing the worst. Thankfully, an actor from the sequel appears to be putting our minds to rest.

God of War Ragnarok’s gameplay looks incredible. Take a look below! Now we just need to know when we can get our hands on it.

Ryan Hurst, who portrays Thor in the franchise, recently appeared at Comic Con Revolution 22 in Ontario, Canada, Hurst was asked about the status of his involvement in God of War Ragnarok and his answer is the only production update we’ve received in months. In a video uploaded to YouTube by user itsrectimemedia, Hurst replied, “I just did the last little tiny bit of God of War for Thor.”

According to the uploader, Hurst was not referring to finishing motion-capture scenes. Instead, he was talking about finishing pick-ups which are usually small, leftover lines of dialogue that come right at the end of production. This is great news because while we may not have a concrete release date just yet for God of War Ragnarok, it certainly confirms that development is practically near completion.

Of course, we’re just kicking off a major few weeks in gaming with a number of showcases lined up so we should see plenty of major announcements over the next few weeks. I’d certainly be surprised if God of War Ragnarok didn’t pop up somewhere. Everyone cross your fingers.
