Buying Every Single Steam Game Will Set You Back Over $500,000

Buying Every Single Steam Game Will Set You Back Over $500,000

What a Steam library that would be.

Some of us have big Steam libraries, others have small Steam libraries, but the biggest Steam library possible is a little out of our price range sadly. One dedicated Steam savant (spotted by PCGamesN) has worked out how much it would cost to have every single Steam title available and it's rather expensive.

Half a million, expensive. Two and a half Lamborghinis, expensive. A really nice family home, expensive. You get the picture - $556,271.45 is a lot of money, but for that high, high price you can have all the games you want (unless they're Epic Store exclusives of course).

Don't worry though, it's probably worth mentioning that if you were to take advantage of the sales Steam has, then a full library would only cost you, let's see, $437,975.13. Much more affordable isn't it? That's only two Lambos rather than two and half.

No, someone didn't sit there and manually put everything into a handheld calculator, thank goodness, but GitHub user cwang22 did create the code to look up this interesting number. This site regularly shows you how much it would take to buy all the games on Steam and of course, the number keeps on rising.

It's worth mentioning that this calculation is based on available games. If you were to add up all the content on Steam that would be a different story altogether - soundtracks, DLC, and extras aren't included in this massive total.

Interestingly if you look at the sale price, you can see the exact dates when Steam Sales go live because the blue line harshly drops by almost half back in 2017, but more like 20-30% in more recent years. It's an interesting study to see how much money you really would save if you wanted all of the games on Steam in your ownership.
