Things have gone a little quiet on the Fortnite front these days, and while we're normally inundated with leaks about what's coming next, the upcoming Chapter 7 Season 3 is suspiciously silent. The big pull of any season is finding out what new theme we'll be jumping off the Battle Bus to, as well as which pop culture collabs we'll be splashing the V-Bucks on.

Every season of Fortnite comes with the typical wishlist of what you want to see, while things seem to have gotten better thanks to recent fan surveys. Still, most of these seem to be focused on cosmetics and V-Bucks as ways for Epic to make more money from the store.

Elsewhere, more and more of you are calling for the addition of a must-have privacy feature that you've been championing for years. Instead, you're lamenting the addition of more features you hate.

Fortnite Fans Want A 'True' Offline Feature

Over on the Fortnite subreddit, one disgruntled gamer says the title 'desperately' needs an appear offline feature. The OP wrote: "Honestly, I avoid playing Fortnite so much because I have too many friends and coworkers online.

“Sometimes I just want to play solo without having to interact with anyone. Epic seriously needs a privacy mode so you can play without anyone tracking you."

While Fortnite has some privacy, Epic Games itself reiterates that you can't appear offline.

Although you can toggle between 'Online' and 'Away', there are various workarounds to make you a little harder to detect when bunking off from work and trying to squeeze in that extra dub when you should be back from lunch.

Still, it's fiddly and involves appearing away, limiting your party's visibility, and putting your mutual friends to private. You can appear offline at a console level with PlayStation and Xbox, but again, that's not much use for hiding you from in-game Epic friends.

Epic Games Accused Of Not Listening To Players

Responding to the idea of a true offline feature, those in the comments remain unconvinced that we'll get one. Although the consensus is that Epic is always watching, many of you think the team isn't listening.

With gamers being typically skeptical of Epic, one angry Fortnite fan sharpened their pitchfork and wrote: "I have 0 faith in Epic that they'll add it. I mean just look at the Epic Store and see how bare bones it looks and how many features it lacks."

Another complained: "This is why I don’t friend many people. If I could select 'offline' I would have more friends in my list."

When one accused Epic of 'not caring' what we want, someone else concluded: "Literally going on a decade now and we don’t have a simple feature, it’s because they don’t want to add it."

This isn't just limited to Fortnite, as while Call of Duty can also limit your visibility at a console level, you'll still be shown as active on the invite page.

Others aren't too fussed and simply suggest you block or don't add those who you don't want snooping on your Fortnite antics.
