Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 4, titled Override, kicks off today (August 20), bringing with it plenty of exciting gaming collaborations.
This is positioning itself as Fortnite’s most exciting season in years, and it’s perfect timing as Chapter 7 has, on the whole, been pretty underwhelming.
In fact, the season is set to feature over 20 collaborations with beloved gaming IP, including the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog, Persona 5, Kingdom Hearts, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and more.
Many of the skins and cosmetics featured in the battle pass have leaked online ahead of the season going live but, more importantly, what of the loot pool?
Advert

Here’s every new weapon we know is coming to Override and every vaulted weapon we’re going to have to say goodbye to as we get to exploring new POIs like Stone Sanctum, Green Hill Zone, and Reality’s Reign.
Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 4: Override - Confirmed New Weapons
- Sonic Power Sneakers - This traversal item allows you to perform a charged grounded Spin Dash or an airborne Spin Attack.
- Mega Buster - Use this new set of legendary arm cannons to fire energy pellets; you can make use of quick-charge shots or long-charge explosive projectiles, with the Mega Buster usable while sprinting and sliding.
- 8-Bit Shotgun - This automatic shotgun has been designed to pay homage to a retro 8-bit console. Players will reload game cartridges. Every shot will have pixel effects, plus the weapon features a real-time scoreboard that tracks your damage. Coolest weapon of the season, perhaps?
- Midas’ Masterpiece - This single-fire golden pistol reportedly packs a “high-damage punch”. In fact, you can eliminate enemies with a single headshot. There’s a note about being “the lucky player to grab it when it spawns,” so this one possibly won’t appear until mid-match, with ammo described as limited. Understandably so.
- Tetris Rift - This one’s more of a healing item than a weapon, allowing you to rift in Tetris pieces which splash on the ground with area-of-effect-style healing.
- 1-Up Token - This is going to be one of the handiest items of the season. Holding a 1-Up Token allows you to spawn in with your full inventory after being eliminated.
- God Mode Llama - This one’s a tad vague. Obtaining the God Mode Llama allows you to become an “unstoppable wrecking ball”. As for what that looks like in practice, well, we’ll find out now that downtime has lifted.
- Extraction Accelerator - Sprite extraction sites remain, but with this nifty tool, you’ll be able to silently initiate a nearby site to summon the crate instantly, speeding the process up.
- Llama Supply Drop - Supply drops are nothing new, but with this new item, you’ll be able to spawn one at your current location with boosted goods.
- Spicy Taco - A new healing item has landed. Consuming a Spicy Taco will let you heal and gain a speed boost for a limited time.
- Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Dual-Wielded AR and SMG - Details on this one are thin on the ground, as the two weapons aren’t due to be added until later in the season, confirmed in a press release. Presumably, they’ll match those used by Rebecca in the anime, and that sounds like something we want to get our hands on.
- Kingdom Hearts Keyblade - This is another item due to be added later in the season, sorry folks. It’ll supposedly be a mythic tier weapon, but we don’t know precisely how the Keyblade will work; it’ll likely allow us to pull off a powerful attack, perhaps working on a cooldown timer like previous mythics.

Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 4: Override - Confirmed Unvaulted Items

Expect the following old favourites to return this season:
- Pump Shotgun
- Assault Rifle
- Ranger Assault Rifle
- Drum Gun
- Minigun
- Tactical Pistol
- Dual Pistols
- Oni Shotgun
- Flare Gun
- Bass Boost
- Overdrive Grenade
- Chug Splash
Chug Splash and the Flare Gun returning? That’s a big win. Two Fortnite classics that should never go away.
Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 4: Override - Confirmed Vaulted Items
It’s out with the old and in with the new. As for what’s been vaulted, well, practically everything from Chapter 7, Season 3: Runners. Yes, Epic Games has made it so that Override’s loot pool is essentially formed of brand new items and the unvaulted items mentioned above, so it’ll take some getting used to when you load the new season up.
