Fallout fans can now enjoy a brand new mod which restores a lot of post-game cut content.

As many Fallout fans are aware, New Vegas’ ending doesn’t allow you to play past the credits and see all the fruits of your labour.

You finish the game, get one of the four major endings, and then you can either start a new game or go back to an earlier checkpoint.

Fallout: New Vegas famously had a lot of cut content which dramatically shortened the game’s scope, which is incredible considering how well the game still holds up in light of these cuts.

One of these larger cuts involves the post-ending, which became more of a deliberate decision due to the game’s dramatic narrative outcomes depending on which faction you side with.

Nevertheless, random lines and references to the post-game still appear in the game’s files, which modders have been trying to restore for years.

Fallout: New Vegas Has Mods To Allow You To Continue Playing After The Credits Have Rolled

One mod, Functional Post Game Ending (FPGE), allows you to continue exploring the Nevada Wasteland after the credits roll, where you can continue doing side quests, levelling up, and all that gubbins.

The mod has been around since 2019, but is still getting updates as of January 2026.

It does more than just allow you to play after the credits roll, but actually changes the world to reflect the ending you received.

For example, Hoover Dam is taken over by the respective faction you sided with and the fighting stops, the Brotherhood of Steel takes Helios One and patrols the roads, and the Great Khans will evacuate their camp, taking everything with them. That’s just a minor number of changes though, as the mod does a whole lot more than that.

Post-Game Dialogue Restored is an addon for this mod which features cut dialogue for various characters, including lines for NCRCF Powder Gangers, Goodsprings, Camp Forlorn Hope, the Enclave Remnants, The Kings Sloan, and some of North Vegas Square. It functions as a great addon to FPGE.

While not necessarily the experience that Obsidian Entertainment intended with Fallout: New Vegas’ ending, it’s at least a fun way to see how your choices may have influenced the future of New Vegas and the Nevada Wasteland.

If you’re interested in checking out Fallout: New Vegas with a post-game ending experience, you can download the mods from Nexus Mods now.
