Fallout fans blown away by great new secret you definitely missed

Nuka-Cola is a healthy drink (probably)

Fallout fans are blown away by a secret discovered in Fortnite (of all places), that many of us would have likely missed.

The free-to-play shooter Fortnite is no stranger to epic crossovers from WWE, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Marvel, DC and much more. The latest of which, likely capitalising on the recent success of the Amazon live-action adaptation is Fallout and players are amazed by a recently discovered secret.

Check out our chat with the cast of the Fallout show below!

In a clip shared by Reddit user TCGboi2020, it’s been revealed that if you drink a bottle of Nuka-Cola, the mascot drink of Fallout in Fortnite (not real life, otherwise you might die), you will be rewarded with a free gold bar. In Fortnite, gold bars are a form of in-game currency that can be used to purchase new weapons, Augment rerolls and more.

In other words, by drinking a bottle of Nuka-Cola in Fortnite, you will be rewarded with free in-game currency (and a slight health boost) to the delight of fans on Reddit. “It’s a pretty cool detail. Also means the conversion rate for Bottle Caps is one bar each. Makes you wonder how much a Fusion Core would be,” replied Sith-Knight 64 to the gameplay clip shared.

Fans were also happy about the animation of drinking Nuka-Cola from the “ahh” audio to the clip of the bottle cap being flipped into a pocket. Bottle caps are the in-game currency of the Fallout universe.

“The whole animation for it is pretty cool,” said Bhagwan9797 with ie_wither adding “Perfect attention to detail.” However, Mad66Mav has higher aspirations for Nuka-Cola featuring in Fortnite asking “Let me know if you find a Nuka-Cola machine. The might be a Quantum in there.”

Nuka-Cola Quantum is the premium version of the Fallout soft drink which in-game, offers double the taste, calories, carbohydrates and caffeine. So in theory, if Fortnite has hidden Nuka-Cola Quantum, it could result in a larger gold bar payout.

If Nuka-Cola Quantum exists in Fortnite, it’s only a matter of time until it's discovered by fans. Fortnite is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
