Fallout meets Cyberpunk 2077 and Stranger Things in new RPG

Add some Dead Space influences in there too while you're at it

A very, very cool-looking little indie game that looks like an adorably terrifying mix between Fallout 4 and Cyberpunk 2077 is already making a lot of waves online, and its Stranger Things-esque setting probably has something to do with all the hype.

M.I.N.S.K. is an upcoming third-person survival horror action-adventure title from developer and publisher sodesign on Steam.

You might have already seen clips of it for yourself if you’re the type of person to scroll through TikTok or Instagram reels, because this game’s marketing campaign has already built some serious hype.

I, on the other hand, am old, so this is the first I’m hearing about it, but I gotta say that I am seriously impressed; and it seems like the folks over on the r/IndieGaming subreddit are just as excited to try this out for themselves.

ICYMI: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle lands on PS5 this week, and there are some surprisingly spooky sections.

“This is very f**king cool. Love the UI, models and atmosphere look incredible,” commented user duggoluvr. “Shared energy between tools/weps sounds like a great mechanic, looks like it’ll be hella fun to play. Please for the love of god don’t add spiders or have an arachnophobia mode that removes/reskins them.”

“I am absolutely amazed by this, the idea of giving the flashlight an actual device for usage is awesome!” replied user TemptedMouse. “Rather then just slapping a flashlight at eye level on the characters head or on the chest it's a living part of the environment with you.”

Honestly, I think the gameplay looks cool and all, but I am mostly just impressed by the incredible UI work in this game.

The way the menu is actually a part of your character’s model is giving me Dead Space vibes, and I say that in the most complimentary way possible. Any game that can be compared to Dead Space is one I’m immediately excited to try out for myself.

No release date for this one at the moment, and it seems like it’s only been announced for Steam for the time being, but you better believe I will let you know once we hear more about it.
