Following the news that Fallout has been renewed for a third season, fans are feeling torn over what this could mean for the future of the Bethesda game series it was inspired by.
There is no denying that Prime Video’s Fallout series is a hit, especially with its first season sitting at a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes to this day.
In the meantime, check out our interview with the cast of Fallout below!
Based on the Bethesda video game series with the same name, the Fallout series follows Vault Dweller Lucy who leaves Vault 33 to venture into a dangerous wasteland to look for her father.

Due to the success of its first season, the show was quickly snapped up for a second season which is set to air this December.
Not only that but earlier this week saw the news that Fallout had already been renewed for a third season which is an impressive feat to say the least.
It is clear that fans are eager for more but for fans of the video game franchise, the news is bittersweet.
That is because, despite it having been almost a decade since the last Fallout entry, Fallout 4, was released, it seems as though Fallout 5 will not be ready for many years.

So much so, that one user over on r/Fallout believes players may not see Fallout 5 until at least 2043 due to Bethesda prioritising development for The Elder Scrolls VI.
“We're going to see Fallout Season 5 before Fallout 5,” their post read.
“Todd [Howard] says it's taking Bethesda five years to develop games and The Elder Scrolls VI finally started being produced at the beginning of this year…”
“A realistic release for it is holiday season 2029 instead of the *incredibly* optimistic planned 2026 release and, if it does take until 2029, we won't see Fallout 5 until 2034-2035 (2031-2032 if TESVI miraculously comes out on time)...”

“The only small hope I have now is that Microsoft gets Bethesda to license Fallout to one of its other game studios to release a game we might see before the 2030's.”
Of course, none of these dates have been confirmed by Bethesda but there is definitely some sense in the user’s thought process.
Hopefully Bethesda surprises us all because if not, the Fallout television adaptation will definitely be the one carrying the franchise as a whole.
