Over the years, Fallout 4 players have uncovered all sorts of secrets hidden around the wasteland and in an effort to not miss out on any of Bethesda’s details, fans regularly take to r/fo4 to share their discoveries with others.

That was the case way back when Fallout 4 was first released as one Reddit user took to the subreddit to share a list of secret locations hidden throughout the Commonwealth.

Take a trip down memory lane with the launch trailer for Fallout 4 below!

As well as a maze by Fallon’s Dept. Store, a drainage pipe south of Carla’s place, and a house in Diamond City full of cats, there are plenty of other locations full of secrets and loot - and one includes a reference to a much-loved Fallout 3 character.

Throughout your time in Fallout 3, you will come across Vault 108, the home to a horde of manic clones which all originate from a man called Gary.

The 54 Gary clones were the result of a science experiment gone wrong and when the Lone Wanderer discovers the vault, they must face them in combat.

However, considering that the vault door is open when they arrive, it has always been believed that at least one Gary clone escaped and as a result, it would not be too far-fetched if they made their way to Fallout 4’s Commonwealth.

One user over on r/fo4 shared, “The Gary blocks are everywhere, makes me so happy.”

The blocks are referring to wooden blocks that can be found around Fallout 4’s map, with each spelling out ‘Gary’.

It was not long before Fallout veterans put the pieces together and discovered the reference to the Fallout 3 clone.

Does this mean that at least one Gary clone is out there somewhere? Or is it simply an Easter egg from Bethesda aimed at a memorable location from a previous title?

Either way, it definitely leaves a door open for their return in Fallout 5.

Well, when it is finally released, that is.
