Huge PS5 Exclusive Comes to PS Plus Next Week, Save £70

One of the biggest PlayStation 5 console exclusives is coming to PS Plus next week, and it’s probably a game that many subscribers have waited for since 2023.

While subjective depending on the content on offer, for the most part, Sony’s PlayStation Plus offers plenty of bang for your buck, even with the persistent price hikes and especially when it relates to a game that has a nice £69.99 RRP.

Granted, the higher the subscription tier, the more games that you’ll have available to play. For example, the top tier, PlayStation Plus Premium, offers hundreds of PS5 and PS4 games, retro classics from the PS1, PS2 and PSP era, cloud streaming, a selection of curated movies and more.

What’s the Big Exclusive Coming to PlayStation Plus?

The game in question is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games, and it’s a title that PS Plus subscribers have waited patiently for. The news was broken by the reliable PS Plus leaker, billbil_kun, on Twitter.

“Insomniac Games has crafted yet another heartfelt Spider-Man story bursting with twists, turns, and show-stopping spectacle,” we said in our review.

“While I wish it had taken a few more risks in changing up its open-world formula, it’s tricky to remember those criticisms when I’m diving from the top of the Empire State Building and firing out a web line at the last second as I swing away in search of ass to kick.”

When Will Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Be on PS Plus?

Sadly, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is only available to those who subscribe to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers. However, it can often be found discounted in sales if you subscribe to PS Plus Essential.

Typically, PS Plus Extra and Premium games drop on the third Tuesday of every month, which should mean that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available on 17 February.

At this time, no other games were leaked, but billbil_kun suggested that further headline titles will be revealed during this week’s State of Play on Thursday.

I’m sure that following this news, PC gamers will be hoping that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings its way over to Steam sooner rather than later. Could that announcement be made at State of Play this week? Only time will tell, but we'll keep you posted if such an announcement is made.
