We’re just a few weeks away from the release of Star Wars: Andor and to celebrate, Disney Plus recently dropped an epic new trailer. The show marks the return of practical sets in the franchise and promises to be a “take on the Trumpian world.” As exciting as that all sounds though, fans are still hoping for news on a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Well, Ewan McGregor has an update.

If you haven’t already, check out the incredible new trailer for Star Wars: Andor below.

McGregor recently appeared at Celebrity Fan Fest and was quizzed on the future of the show. He responded to fans with “I'm totally up for it guys. I want to do it. I'm absolutely honest, there's no plan to make one yet but I think, I'm pretty sure they're just biding their time. I think - but nobody's approached me as of yet." Hm, interesting.

Obviously if McGregor has been approached about season two, he wouldn’t be able to tell us but saying that Disney and Lucasfulm are “biding their time,” that surely sounds like a second season is on the cards.

It’s not the first time McGregor has expressed his interest. He previously said, “I hope it’s not the last time I play him. I had such a great time doing this, I'm sure we can think of a few more stories before I turn into Alec Guinness,” with series writer and director Deborah Chow adding, “There are of course more stories that you could tell. There's obviously another 10 years before we get to A New Hope.” It’s all very cryptic but things are looking good for us Obi-Wan Kenobi fans.
