Star Wars fans are saying their prayers in the hope that The Acolyte will make a triumphant return with a second season.
To say that the Disney Plus series, Star Wars: The Acolyte, is polarising would be quite the understatement. Some fans loved it, and were devastated that it’s been cancelled, and some are overjoyed that it may never return.
I think it’s unlikely that The Acolyte will suddenly be revived for an unexpected second season, but then again, in this day and age, nothing really surprises me. Should that happen, there will be a lot of Star Wars fans happy to see it rise from the dead.

“Which god to pray to for season two?” asked Redditor Fun_Valuable_1580. “Will we never see Qimir and Osha again, and know what happened?”

“Maybe light a candle and say a prayer to Saint Jude?” suggested Longjumping-Leek854.
“Cover your bases. Pray to all of them. Even the unknown God,” declared Any_College5526.
“All of them, and it still won’t happen. It’s the most hated Star Wars project since well, Jar Jar Binks,” proposed mnhorst.
“Yeah, it’s highly doubtful, it’s more likely to see the story continue in a novel or comic,” replied OwnAd7720.

“Hades, because the show is dead,” replied the ruthless missmaarvel.
“I’m on the stream team survey group, and any place Disney lets me add a comment, I put ‘renew The Acolyte’. That’s my prayer in action,” revealed a devoted fan.
“I can’t believe that Darth Plagueis is going to be stuck in limbo forever,” said AnakinSkyguy, referring to the infamous Star Wars villain making a cameo in the final episode of season one.
You can watch season one of The Acolyte right now on Disney Plus, but despite its cliffhanger, it might be wise not to get your hopes up for a second season on the streaming platform.
