Manny Jacinto, the man behind The Stranger’s mask in the cancelled Star Wars series The Acolyte, just made a surprise appearance at a very special event, and the public reaction paints a pretty clear picture: fans want Disney to make a second season.
Star Wars Celebration has been in full swing this weekend in Japan, and Manny Jacinto popped up during the festivities for an interview.
As his interview came to a close and the live mics switched off, the noise and rabble of the crowd can be clearly heard chanting for “season two” of The Acolyte.

However, that’s the sentiment of an excited crowd in the presence of one of the most handsome men to ever exist, so what do the folks over on the r/StarWars subreddit think of the reaction?
Well, they’re on board too… they’re just a little less hopeful about its chances.
“I am sure he will be in a novel at minimum, they have too good of a character to scrap,” commented user ExterminAiden.
“Unfortunately on the horizon I see no live action, I personally wanted a season 2 (even though I found season 1 meh), but fingers crossed Disney hears our liking of him.”

“Honestly the smart thing they could do is build a show around him and his character,” replied user GrimJimmy94.
“The acolyte was like this half concocted mix match of things some of which worked and many which didn’t but manny Jacinto and Qimir they stumbled across gold. Don’t let gold fall through your fingers MOUSE.”
Personally, I think that last comment is onto something.
Disney aren’t a big fan of walking back their decisions, even though it feels like The Acolyte is more popular now than it ever was during its release, so I think our chances of a second season are very, very slim.

But, some kind of spin-off? I could see that. Whether you loved or hated The Acolyte, I’m pretty sure that we can all agree that Macinto was the best part of it.
Not using him again would feel like a huge waste.
