The Epic Games Store is delivering a banging horror game for you to play this month, just in time for Halloween.

There are plenty of games for you to play that’ll get you in the Halloween spirit, but my personal recommendation has to be Silent Hill f, which isn’t just a return to form for the series but also a masterclass in storytelling.

Silent Hill f is still a relatively new game though with a AAA pricepoint, so you’d be forgiven for wanting to save your money.

If that’s the case The Epic Games Store has a perfect alternative, an exhilarating horror title that’s completely free.

Amnesia: The Bunker is one of the latest games in the beloved horror series and you can experience it for yourself without spending a penny. Be warned though, it’s not for the faint of heart.

“Amnesia: The Bunker is a first-person horror game set in a desolate WW1 Bunker. Face the oppressing terrors stalking in the dark” begins the game’s description.

It continues: “ Search for and use the tools and weapons at your disposal. Keep the lights on at all costs and make your way out alive.”

As someone who’s played this game and adored it I couldn’t recommend it more for those wanting to celebrate the spooky month on a budget.

The monster that hunts you in this game is genuinely distressing and really doesn’t take long for your fight for survival to begin. You’re truly thrown into the deep end and it makes for an exciting playthrough from start to finish.

If you like it you can always check out the other Amnesia games too, many of which will likely be discounted on various storefronts this month.

Amnesia: The Bunker won’t be free on The Epic Games Store forever though folks, as like all of its offerings you only have a limited time to claim.

It’ll return to its normal price on 23 October, which gives you more than enough time to try and possibly even finish the game this weekend.

That said once you’ve added it to your library its yours to keep forever even after it reverts to its original price, so no rush.

With Halloween quickly approaching now’s as good of a time as any to sink your teeth into some of the scariest titles in gaming, either the latest AAA releases or perhaps less known titles like this one.
