ORIGINAL STORY - Elden Ring developer FromSoftware has announced The Deep of Night, a new mission for Elden Ring Nightreign launching soon.

The Deep of Night is a new high-difficulty mission for Elden Ring Nightreign that will be appearing in the game in the near future.
While we don't have a lot of information on the new mode yet, a trailer for The Deep of Night will be airing at 11PM JST, which is roughly in around 3 hours’ time.
“Today, September 10 (Wed) at 2300 a roughly 4-minute trailer the high-difficulty mission mode ‘Deep Night’ will be on FromSoftware's official YouTube channel,” writes the developer on X (formerly Twitter).
When the trailer airs, we’ll probably get a good idea of when to expect the new mission to go live inside the game.

Elden Ring Nightreign is a multiplayer sequel to 2022's Elden Ring, which sees teams of up to three players collaborate over several in-game days to defeat a series of enemies and bosses.
Consider it to be FromSoftware's interpretation of battle royale games. There isn't a PvP element, but there is a shrinking playable arena and a roguelike element in the randomised enemies and items.
Our own Sam Cawley called it: "not perfect, and it nowhere near has the level of polish that Elden Ring did, but you can tell it’s not really trying to be what that game was. It’s a different animal entirely and I can admire FromSoftware for trying something new while still holding onto what’s worked for it in the past."
It's shouldn't necessarily be considered a true Elden Ring sequel, but it is a good time if you're a big FromSoftware fan who wants to try something a little different this time.

The developer has supported the game since its release in May with a steady stream of new content, which includes new missions, bosses, and updated game modes.
It's expected that The Deep of Night will also be the start of a new mode for the game, though we're still unclear as to what that exactly is.
Considering that FromSoftware is calling it a "high-difficulty mission mode", I would expect that it's going to be pretty tough to clear. I guess we'll know more when the trailer airs in around 3 hours.
But that isn't a huge surprise for Elden Ring fans, who have struggled with the game's brutal bosses ever since the first game released three years ago.
