Elden Ring one-year anniversary event officially announced

Elden Ring one-year anniversary event officially announced

Bandai Namco has announced a major fan event to mark the one-year anniversary of Elden Ring.

It’s officially February which means that it’s the one year anniversary of a very exciting game, Horizon Forbidden West. No, I jest. It’s Elden Ring, but Forbidden West is also one year old and deserves some love and attention too.

Elden Ring officially won the GOTY accolade at last year’s The Game Awards and there really was no competition. Whatever your gaming preferences, you must agree that no other title impacted pop culture the way that Elden Ring did. Elden Ring mania swept across the globe. Ever since then, fans have been desperate for DLC which FromSoftware appear to be hinting towards. For now though, they’ve announced a special one-year anniversary event.

Take a look at this Elden Ring boss battle royale.

As reported by GGRecon, Bandai Namco has revealed that a one-year anniversary event will be held in Stockholm, Sweden, which is great news if you live in Sweden and not so great news for the rest of us. Taking place on 25 February at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere, the event will also be livestreamed on Twitch so you won’t be completely left out if you cannot make it to the land of ABBA and IKEA. I’m just now realising that Swedes like an acronym.

We don’t know too much about what the event entails as details are coming soon. For now, it simply states that there will be “live shows, giveaways, contests, exclusive prizes, a pub quiz, drinks, cosplay, [and] PvP.” All in all, it sounds like a very fun time. I bet you’ve got the same question as me though: Will an Elden Ring DLC finally be unveiled?

We’ve had the Colosseum update, which is enjoyable, but it’s not exactly what we had in mind. Information uncovered by dataminers points to something much larger. In fact, it could include up to 30 bosses. FromSoftware, please make our dreams come true.
