Massive Elden Ring expansion officially announced, dropping tomorrow

As we near the end of the year, it’s a good time to reflect. If I asked you to name one game that defined 2022, I’d imagine a good chunk of you would say Elden Ring. FromSoftware’s latest title is so much more than a game, it’s a cultural behemoth, so it’s no surprise that fans are hungry for extra content.

In fact, it’s been rumoured that an Elden Ring DLC could be on the way for quite some time. We’re mere days away from The Game Awards which is the perfect time for such an announcement. Today though, FromSoftware surprised fans by announcing a major Elden Ring multiplayer expansion which, steady yourselves, releases tomorrow.

The ‘Colosseum’ update officially launches on Elden Ring tomorrow, on 7 December. The update’s official description reads as follows, “Come forth, warriors, and bask in the glory of the Colosseum. The Colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell, and Caelid will open their gates, allowing players to engage in battles such as duels, free-for-alls and team fights. Prove your worth in the free Colosseum Update.”
