Elden Ring datamine points to 30 new DLC bosses

A datamine of Elden Ring's most recent update seems to suggest that space has been left for up to 30 new DLC bosses.

Ever since Elden Ring released in February, it seemed pretty obvious that the game would eventually get some DLC. Previous Soulsborne titles have all received extra downloadable content in some fashion a while after their release, and given the sheer popularity of the title, you’d imagine that FromSoftware would jump at the opportunity to throw some more deadly bosses into the Lands Between.

Well, it’s looking more and more like that’s exactly what’s happening. As reported by GamesRadar+, a datamine of the game’s most recent patch has suggested that a huge array of new bosses could be on the way.

Check out some of our favourite wins and fails from Elden Ring below.

According to Twitter user @sekirodubi, there’s space for up to 30 new DLC bosses. “So... in the section where boss flags are declared they left out room for 30 flags for DLC purposes,” they wrote. “So, I'm not saying the DLCs are going to add 30 new bosses, but they made room for as many of those.”

Also found in the datamine were a number of new NPC entries, although what they’re for remains a total mystery right now thanks to the incredibly cryptic naming. In total, there are 16 entries for “Someone Yet Unseen” - it appears that these NPCs will be scattered all over the map, from Caria Manor to Redmane Castle and Agheel Lake. Maybe they could relate to some new quests?

Last month, a different dataminer discovered that the game’s 1.07 patch contained references to two new areas that aren’t currently in the game, so it really seems that we can get ready for a significant content update sometime soon. At the time of writing, FromSoftware hasn’t actually confirmed if this is the case, so we’ll just have to stay tuned for that.
