Elden Ring DLC sounds as big as an entirely new game

Elden Ring DLC sounds as big as an entirely new game

Dataminers have uncovered details about the rumoured Elden Ring DLC and it sounds like its going to be huge.

Regardless of what your personal Game of the Year is, I think we can all agree that no title has proved to be more popular than Elden Ring. The cultural behemoth took the world by storm when it launched in February so it’s no surprise that FromSoftware is cashing in on the title’s unprecedented popularity.

It’s been rumoured for quite some time that Elden Ring is getting a DLC but it’s something that’s yet to be officially unveiled. The Game Awards are just one month away. Could this be one of the evening’s big reveals? Well, an announcement could be just around the corner as a dataminer appears to have uncovered exactly what the DLC is set to include.

Check out some of our favourite wins and fails from Elden Ring below.

Previously, dataminer Lance McDonald found references to two new areas in the recent 1.07 patch notes then just last week, Twitter user sekirodubi discovered that up to 30 DLC bosses could be on the way. I’m not sure I’ll ever make my way through Elden Ring’s regular bosses, let alone a further 30. With these two discoveries alone, the Elden Ring DLC sounds absolutely huge but dearest reader, there’s more.

Sekirodubi has further discovered new hair, six new unnamed weapon categories, new AI goals, new Legacy Dungeon related map files, new Colosseum map files, Divine Towers map changes, plus 16 NPC entries in an area titled ‘Someone Yet Unseen.’ Phew, that’s a lot.

The user further elaborated on the 30 bosses. Just because Elden Ring’s files permit for up to 30 DLC bosses, it doesn’t necessarily mean that many will appear. Still, it sounds like FromSoftware are really throwing everything they’ve got at this DLC and without even being announced, it’s generating a ton of hype from fans. Hopefully a reveal isn’t too far away.
