Batman has been done so dirty in his latest series, facing monstrosities that wouldn’t be out of place in a Superman storyline.
The Dark Knight’s rogue gallery has been twisted and tormented in the world of Absolute Batman, which is a nightmarish parallel Earth devised by none other than Darkseid.
Out of all of Earth’s heroes though Batman has clearly ticked him off the most as one look at the new Joker should have our hero hanging up his cape and calling it a day.
The Joker in Absolute Batman looks like a normal man during the day, on a crusade to rid the world of those he’d consider villains, which to us are the heroes.

There’s more to him than meets the eye though as he’s apparently possessed by an actual demon, transforming him into a Joker so hideous it might as well be an Elden Ring boss as many fans have pointed out.

The villain has also seen comparisons to another famous clown, Pennywise from Stephen King’s I.T which has the horrifying power to morph into whatever awful form it needs to haunt your dreams and feed off your fear.
We don’t think this new Joker has that kind of power but he’s clearly dangerous, with sharp claws and razor sharp teeth.
How Batman will best this foe is unknown as he doesn’t even have the Tibetan Monk training he’d normally have, nor the billions of dollars worth of gadgets and other equipment.
If you’ve not been following the Absolute Batman story so far other famous villains have turned up here and there, many of whom are actually Bruce Wayne’s childhood friends in this universe.
One villain who’s stood out though is Bane, who’s enormous even without his performance enhancing drug Venom and has already bested Batman countless times.
After the caped crusader puts him down for good though it won’t be long until he faces this new iteration Joker.
It’s been a wild ride up to this point and with each new issue the fans are more and more impressed with Batman's resiliency.
Batman is certainly no pushover, he can go toe-to-toe with some of the most dangerous heroes and villains in the DC multiverse but the Absolute Batman has his work cut out for him.
I’d love to see this iteration adapted into live-action one day, or at the very least an animated series or film.
