A new Cyberpunk 2077 VR game has been announced, which will make you feel immersed in Night City like never before.

We all know about its rocky 2020 launch (and that’s putting it mildly). Still, following a ton of patches to fix the game, a whole host of new features and quality-of-life improvements, CD Projekt RED drastically turned the fortunes of its sci-fi RPG to make Cyberpunk 2077 one of the best games of its generation.

The continued success of Cyberpunk 2077 has extended far beyond its debut video game offering, with board games, a Netflix animation, merchandise and much more. And, we know that Cyberpunk 2 is on the way.

Cyberpunk 2077 Gets a New VR Experience

In collaboration with VR developers Zero Latency and CD Projekt RED, a brand-new VR experience inspired by Cyberpunk 2077, set in the alluring but seedy location of Night City, has been announced.

The new Cyberpunk 2077 VR release in question promises to bring Night City alive like never before, with brand new locations and will offer players an “experience built for freedom, intensity, and unique shared moments.” The Cyberpunk 2077 VR experience will even support full-body and 360-degree movement.

“This brand-new in-person experience, based on the world of Cyberpunk 2077, is built specifically for Zero Latency VR’s untethered, free-roam technology,” reads the official press release.

“It will allow players to physically move together through a shared space, offering a new way to explore the world of Cyberpunk 2077. This will be a self-contained experience capturing the atmosphere and style of Night City beyond its original screen-based format, as seen in the original video game.”

How Can I Play This Cyberpunk 2077 VR Game?

Sadly, by the looks of things, this won’t be a Cyberpunk 2077 VR game that you can simply download to your PC. Instead, it will be playable at select Zero Latency VR locations around the world, to take full advantage of the developer's signature free-roam, warehouse-scale gameplay.

While those locations have not been announced yet, an announcement will be made to let us all know where we can play Zero Latency VR’s Cyberpunk 2077 at a later date. Be sure to follow CDPR’s social media to keep updated on when that information drops.
