Cyberpunk 2077 just keeps getting better and better thanks to the hard work of CD Projekt RED and fans who keep finding new ways to surprise us with fresh experiences.

CD Projekt RED's open-world sci-fi RPG has evolved into from a dodgy cautionary tale into one of the most exciting games of the last decade. Cyberpunk 2077 is better than ever in 2023, and with the Phantom Liberty expansion right around the corner, there's never been a better time to jump back into the game.

Take a look at Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty in action below!

Of course, CDPR can't do everything at once - meaning there a lot of fan-requested features and modes that just aren't a priority for the studio. That's completely fair enough, given the scale and scope of Phantom Liberty. Fortunately, we can always rely on the fans to step up.

Cyberpunk 2077 now has an impressive third-person mod that allows you to explore Night City from a completely new perspective. Given the work most of us put into our custom characters, it's definitely a nice change to be able to see them as we walk the streets of the seedy metropolis.

It's worth noting that this mod is still very much a work in progress. So, while you can walk around and engage with other characters in third-person, any time you draw your weapon to initiate combat you'll be automatically switched back to first-person.

Given Cyberpunk 2077's combat was designed entirely with first-person in mind it'll take a while for any third-person mod to really nail combat - if it ever does. For now, this creation is as close as you're going to get to playing Cyberpunk 2077 in third-person.

Who knows? Maybe the in-development sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 will officially allow players to swap between perspectives at will.
