Cyberpunk 2077 meets Red Dead Redemption 2 in stunning new RPG

This Cyberpunk RPG looks to have a heavy dose of Red Dead Redemption.

What would you think if there were a game that blends the elements of Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2 into a glorious new RPG? Well, if that sounds like your cup of tea, we’ve got you covered.

The new RPG in question is from indie developer Envoidant Studios and Viglancer 2099 is a third-person open-world game that offers customisation in abundance and cybernetic enhancements to suit your strategic approach as you aim to become the most lethal bounty hunter there ever was. See, Viglancer 2099 is very much Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077-inspired.

Check out the Viglancer 2099 gameplay below!

“Days after taking down a notorious bounty target, your Megabuilding goes into lockdown. A lot of mystery and turmoil in the air as to what caused the lockdown” reads the synopsis of the game via Steam. “Before you know it, there's a bounty put on your head – with no escape. Your only options are to pay off the huge debt or get collected.”

At this time, Viglancer 2099 has no release date but by the looks of its gameplay, it looks to be an immersive RPG with some quite snazzy visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5. Hopefully, this RPG will be as good as it looks when it is finally released. That being said, you can never quite tell how good a game will be until it's out in the wild.

Viglancer 2099 was initially announced a couple of years ago when it was running on Unreal Engine 4. Since that time, it’s seemingly been a gruelling development process, but the hard work of Envoidant Studios looks to be paying off.

At this time, only the PC platform has been announced, but should Viglancer 2099 prove to be a success, with a bit of luck it might also eventually be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed and our eyes peeled on this one.
