Some Cyberpunk 2077 players may have missed a very heavy dose of foreshadowing during the early moments of the game.

Despite its very bumpy launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 went on to become one of the best RPGs in years. However, I would still strongly avoid playing the game on last-gen consoles if possible.

Especially since its new-gen launch in 2022, developer CD Projekt RED has supported Cyberpunk 2077 with a wealth of free content updates which not only improve the visuals and performance of the game but also enemy AI, adding tons of new features.

In fact, despite being seemingly done with free content updates with CDPR focusing on the development of the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel as well as The Witcher 4, the Polish developer dropped yet another free update at the end of last year.

To put it simply, Cyberpunk 2077 is a huge game, not only with its vibrant Night City map but its campaign can take hundreds of hours to finish depending on how you approach it too - and that’s not even taking into account its Phantom Liberty expansion.

So it’s understandable that many aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 may have been missed but we’re not sure how we missed this very heavy dose of foreshadowing. Before I proceed, I am about to venture into spoilers, so you have been warned.

“I’m replaying Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time in a while,” said Redditor Lwmons. “My god the foreshadowing they lay on before the heist is so thick you could cut it with a knife.”

“The Braindance tutorial where the guy gets shot in the head and Judy says, ‘The real thing hurts more’. Misty warns Jackie that he needs to avoid things that are ‘bad and red’. V tells Jackie that all fixers are the same, finding the cheapest gonks for the job only to kill them and toss them in a landfill at the end,” they continued.

“But that’s part of the fun of subsequent playthroughs. I’m on playthrough number two and didn’t put the Braindance to V’s headshot til I read this,” replied AccurateBandicoot299.

“Evelyn being a powerless poser way over her head also seems more obvious in hindsight, like just the way she tries to introduce herself at the bar or immediately try to swindle Dex,” said EvaInTheUSA, adding to the conversation.

“The ones I feel silly for missing are Jackie giving his drink order to Claire at the Afterlife bar, and Delamain explaining everything included in the Excelsior package,” said Jess420xox.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
