A sequel for Cyberpunk 2077 is on the way but with development still in its early stages, we don’t yet know much about Project Orion.

CD Projekt Red has quite a lot of work on its shoulders right now, what with working on both Cyberpunk 2 and The Witcher 4.

However, despite Cyberpunk 2077 2, codenamed Project Orion, not expected for many years yet, it hasn’t stopped fans from keeping up-to-date with any information surrounding it.

That is why our ears were perked up yesterday when CD Projekt Red took to Twitter to share the news that it was looking for new developers to join the Project Orion team.

“Want to be a part of Project Orion, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077?” The Tweet read.

The North American team is looking for potential candidates for the following positions: Senior Environment Artist, Lead Environment Artist, Senior Cinematic Designer, Senior VFX Artist, Senior Environment Concept Artist, Senior Combat Designer, Lead Environment Concept Artist and IT Director.

With a link to apply for the eight new jobs, it gave fans insight into how Cyberpunk 2 is going so far.

Although looking for jobs in these areas means the project is still in its early stages, we at least know that development is still ongoing and hasn’t met any massive obstacles.

Fans of the RPG soon took to the comments and expressed their excitement over the update, albeit a small one.

“This is going to be a banger,” one comment read.

As of right now, we know next to nothing about the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel other than that 56 developers were working on it as of April this year.

We can expect that number to have increased significantly by now, especially with CDPR looking for more developers.

Overall, it is set to be an exciting few years for fans of the hit RPG.
