Cyberpunk 2077 leak confirms epic cut quest

We missed out

Cyberpunk 2077 players are mourning heaps of cut content that never made it into the full game.

Cut content isn’t anything new for video games, and if something is cut from the final release, it is usually for a good reason, but when it’s a good game like Cyberpunk 2077, it does sting a bit.

That said, CD Projekt RED had enough to do with Cyberpunk 2077 before launch, and thankfully those glaring issues it had are no longer present.

Nevertheless fans have been looking at what could have been through leaked concepts and ideas that weren’t fully realised in Cyberpunk 2077’s story.

One such mission for instance is a different ending featuring the Voodoo Boys, a faction that you really don’t get to interact with all that much despite having such a large presence in Night City.

Reddit user arda5003 broke down some of the leaks in a thread, saying the deleted quest would have involved teaming up with “Miriam Night (the CEO of Night Corp) and the Voodoo Boys".

"We assault the Mikoshi compound with the Voodoo Boys and we make our way to the access port. After that, we go to T-Bug's apartment (for some reason) and break her simulation (I don't know what that means, but I think it is similar to the situation of Alt)," they wrote.

The quest then involves receiving advice from Evelyn, before the player must “go to the space station and fight our way to the core of Mikoshi" before they "enter cyberspace and talk with Alt".

It sounds interesting enough, and it would have been nice to have a few more endings to work with as some of them felt pretty similar to one another, but I wouldn’t say it completely changes the game.

Still, Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game but it clearly could have been much better if CD Projekt RED had more time to work on it, and didn’t need to spend as long fixing all the bugs. Hopefully The Witcher IV doesn’t suffer the same fate.
