Cyberpunk 2077's latest update has got fans seriously hyped

Cyberpunk 2077 fans are incredibly excited to see more of the DLC expansion, Phantom Liberty, which will be shown off very soon.

Cyberpunk 2077 fans are on the verge of exploding thanks to the devs teasing some exciting stuff about the game’s upcoming expansion.

The spy-thriller story DLC, titled Phantom Liberty, already sounds really interesting. It'll be Cyberpunk 2077’s only expansion, and will add a new region for players to explore alongside a bunch more cool characters to meet. What’s more, the cast behind these new faces is shaping up to be excellent - Sasha Grey (real name Marina Ann Hantzis) is taking on the role of the radio station DJ, Ash, and none other than Idris Elba will be the veteran New United States of America agent, Solomon Reed. Oh, and as you’d hope, Keanu Reeves is reprising his role as Johnny Silverhand. Breathtaking stuff.

Take a look at the trailer for the Phantom Liberty expansion below.

Previously, it was revealed that Phantom Liberty will be CD Projekt RED’s biggest-budget expansion yet, and when you consider that the team previously made The Witcher 3’s excellent Blood and Wine DLC, that’s a very thrilling thought. Now though, it’s been confirmed that a whole load of more details will be unveiled soon.

On Twitter, the official Cyberpunk 2077 account wrote: “Exciting news, chooms: in June we’ll start to share more information about the Phantom Liberty expansion. Stay tuned!”

Fans promptly went wild: “Let's goooo. I'm so excited for Phantom Liberty expansion. And I am hoping to see some Edgerunners characters in this expansion. Let me wishlist on Steam nowwww,” wrote @oggyglu. “I DON’T THINK I CAN WAIT THAT LONG! But I’ll be patient. Hopefully we get [an] update of sorts before then,” tweeted @R3D_Coyote. “LET’S GO FINALLY,” replied @OptionsUS.

At the time of writing, we still don’t know exactly when Phantom Liberty is going to release, but it’s still expected to happen some time this year. There’s a very good chance that we’ll find out a proper release window in June, so sit tight for now.
