Cyberpunk 2077 free download and new content available to claim today

The much-anticipated latest update for Cyberpunk 2077 is mere hours away, and it’s bringing a bunch of new content for the game along with it.

Last night, CD Projekt RED held a livestream to show off all of the new content coming to Cyberpunk 2077 in Update 2.3.

The new update features a slew of new content, including four new vehicles, brand new Side Job quests, updates to photo mode, lighting improvements, a new autodrive mode, and even fresh new graphical settings for PC and consoles.

The new support for AMD FSR 3.1 Frame Generation, Intel XeSS 2.0 and HDR10+ on PC is doubtlessly exciting for those of you not on console, but it’s the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X update that’s the most exciting to me.

That’s because (some) console users are now getting access to Variable Refresh Rate support, which will be a huge boon for those of you with ridiculously expensive TVs.

However, I say “some” because it seems that the Nintendo Switch 2 port of Cyberpunk 2077 is being left in the dust this time around.

Not only is VRR support not listed for the Nintendo Switch 2 in the patch notes, but it seems that Update 2.3 will be coming to the console a little later on down the line.

“The update will also be hitting Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 at a later date,” states the Update 2.3 patch notes on the official Cyberpunk 2077 site.

Unfortunate for Nintendo Switch 2 users, but the rest of you will be able to jump into Update 2.3 at some point today. No specific time today is listed on the website however, so you’ll just have to keep checking to see when it’s finally dropped!
