I don’t know about you but finishing Cyberpunk 2077 made me eager to play other cyberpunk-themed games and combining it with a roguelike? Sign me up.
Released in September, CyberTD is a roguelike strategy game by the developers at Clockwork Origins. Set in cyberspace, CyberTD tasks you with defending it against mutant viruses who have invaded the core and are threatening to destroy it. It is up to you to stop them by using the right tactics and the “help” of your support drone to build a deck of defensive upgrades.

Featuring roguelike elements, CyberTD turns the classic tower defence game experience on its head and despite featuring easy-to-learn mechanics, you will need to use them to create strategies capable of stopping the viruses in their tracks.
As you progress, you will unlock new upgrades and gain access to more custom options to suit your playstyle. Additionally, you can hunt for even better upgrades or ask for help from “a retired killer drone with two feisty personalities”.
CyberTD also features multiple game modes which include: Single-player, Multiplayer, Versus, Weekly Challenges and Community Clash.
The single-player mode will see you fight off waves of viruses each with mutations that get better and stronger whereas the co-op mode will see you work as a team with friends to protect the core. Versus will see you go head-to-head with your co-op buddy to see who has the better defences and the Weekly Challenges offer harder challenges for more experienced players. Last but not least, Community Clash is perfect for Twitch streamers who wish to get their community involved.
CyberTD is currently available to try for free on Steam and with the title sitting at a “mostly positive” rating, it is not one to miss out on, especially for fans of Cyberpunk 2077.
